Honuala`i sits on the shores of a calm protected bay in Puako, the only waterfront residential community in South Kohala, outside of a resort area. The property is within five minutes of the Mauna Kea and Hapuna Prince hotels; 10 minutes drive from Mauna Lani Resort and approximately 20-25 minutes from the Four Seasons Hualala`i.

Description:
Honuala’i is an 11, 000 sq. ft home laid out on a magnificent 1.5 acre ocean front lot, with approximately 500' of water frontage, including a small grey sand beach presents itself at low tides. There are six guest bedrooms and eight bathrooms connected by wide open lanai and airy breeze ways in a gracious Hawaiian style. Understated elegance prevails throughout the interior spaces and tropical vegetation, manicured lawns and coconut trees abound outside.

An extensive, open travertine pool deck with a large blue tile swimming pool is the focal point of the main waterfront lawn. Tiki torches ring the perimeter and wide lanai, pool deck and lawn areas abound allowing for ample space for entertainment, dancing, food stations, cocktail tables, etc. This majestic site and wonderful layout makes for perhaps the island’s premier event location.

Functions and Events:
Honuala`i is available as a rental property for evening dinners and events for up to 100 guests. One to two staff members are always on site to provide assistance and direction as needed from setup through breakdown, and tours and information throughout the duration of the actual event.

• Intimate dinners of 20 or smaller may be accommodated in our formal dining room, which features an 18' long solid mahogany table, baccarat chandelier and exquisite furnishings.

• Groups of 50 or less can gather on our wide covered lanai area, elevated above the pool deck.

• For large groups (maximum 100) seating may be arranged around the travertine pool deck.

Honuala`i is the ideal wedding location, with a wide open lawn area on the point facing North West towards the setting sun. Privacy and tranquility abound.

Honuala`i is also available for photo or film shoots, rented by the day (12 hour time period), with the owner’s representative always on site.

History:
Honuala’i ( “peaceful/heavenly place on earth”), was established in the mid eighties by the Sullivan Family,(originally from Incline Village and California), as an exclusive corporate retreat and conference center. Family members and many returnee guests have been coming to stay at the estate since 1985. Presently, it is available for group evening events and functions. The home is showcased in the 1986 Feature film, Black Widow, and in numerous commercial and TV productions.
